Developing Skills
Maths and English qualifications are designed for learners who wish to develop their skills in Mathematics and English to help them gain the most from work, education and everyday life.
COVID 19 has had a major impact on our lives and more people are now wanting to improve with their Maths and English to enable them to support their children with their home work or home schooling.
Having a good knowledge of Maths and English will help learners progress onto further qualifications.

Once you have completed a course with us, we will continue to support you until you progress into employment or further study programmes. We are now very proud to be a Matrix Standard Centre that specialises in IAG (information, Advice and Guidance and all staff are IAG qualified or working towards).
English and Maths
This course is a 10 day course in both English and Maths and we are very flexible with our delivery offers, to suit your individual needs.
The English consists of 3 mandatory components: reading, writing and speaking and listening. The tests can be paper based or done electronically, depending on the level of qualification that you are doing.
The maths qualification consists of 2 mandatory components. Learners must complete both the Non-Calculator and Calculator exam on completion of the course The qualification is assessed throughout a portfolio of evidence which is put together during the course and demonstrates the learner has met the required assessment.
Progression
On completion of this course successfully you will gain a BTEC qualification in Maths and English.
